Macadamia Oil is high in mono-unsaturated fatty acids and palmitoleic acid as well as Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids. While it’s slightly thicker than most carrier oils, it doesn’t block pores and is non-irritating.
It is a highly nourishing oil for mature and ageing skin as it combines with skin lipids to to leave the skin smooth and soft while providing a protective layer against moisture loss. Macadamia oil can take a little time to absorb into the skin, so is most suitable for applying at bedtime.
Common Uses: Macadamia Oil is a great option for massage, and in particular for expecting mums to help minimise the formation of stretch marks. Minor skin conditions such as eczema can also respond well to this oil. Macadamia can be used as a single ingredient oil treatment for skin or hair or incorporated into a number of different skincare products. Can be used in creams, balms, cleansers, hair treatments, massage products, serums, eye creams and more.
