Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI) is a solid, gentle anionic surfactant made from coconut oil, used to create solid and opaque liquid cleansers. It is considered natural, offering a beautiful, gentle “lace glove” lather to its products. It’s also naturally acidic, so it helps create a skin-friendly pH.
Please wear a dust mask while using this ingredient. Inhaling airborne powdered surfactants can be unpleasant.
COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE
Also known as Coco Betaine, this coconut-derived surfactant is one of the most commonly used in the personal care industry. It’s a great co-surfactant that makes the overall surfactant blend milder.
SANDALWOOD EXFOLIANT
Sourced from Western Australia and made from natural fallen wood, this completely sustainable medium grit Sandalwood powder is perfect for use in your DIY beauty care products.
Directions for use: Gently rub your scrub bar over wet skin, focusing on areas that need extra attention, like elbows, knees, or rough patches.
